Shabana Saya was born in Kabul in 1993. She has persian roots and has been living in Zürich since 2001. In 2012, she finished her training as an office clerk and studied theatre pedagogics at the Zürich School of Fine Arts from 2015 till 2019. During her studies she worked as an assistant director at Theater Winkelwiese and SchalkTheater with the director Nina Hesse as well as an intern at Thalia Theater and Hamburger Kammerspiele.
Shabana Saya was the theatre pedagogy assistant for the project “We can do everything” – The shoes that were danced to pieces (2019).
