Katja Bretschneider is a fire artist, stage actress, soap bubble artist, (inclusive) circus educator, instructor for dance and movement as well as occupational therapist in Dresden. With her alias „Fraeulein Fabelwesen“ she works as a freelancing fire artist and dancer. She got her basic classical dance education in Stralsund with S. Dunst, at the State Ballet School Berlin and in free dancing schools in Dresden. Besides exploring different forms of dancing and movement she always strives for further professional dancing and circus educational development.
As circus educator she developed her own inclusive circus class in a school in Dresden and she supports different inclusive circus projects. Furthermore Katja Bretschneider manages circus classes for children in Dresden, provides support for mentally and physically harmed children, teenagers and adults and worked as trainer at Circus Sonnenstich in Berlin.
Katja Bretschneider assisted the project “We can do everything! 2020 – The Pleiades” as dance and circus educator.
